Adoption Procedure

According to the Vietnamese government, the documents in the dossier should not be over 6 months old. The wait for a referral (especially of a girl) can be very long, therefore if you put your dossier together now, all your documents would be expired. Once you receive your I-171 approval, contact us and mail us the items listed below to be put on the waiting list for a referral. At that time we will let you know the current wait time. As your referral time gets closer, we will notify you to prepare your dossier.

Once we contact you to begin working on your dossier please work closely with your local branch office to make sure your documents are completed properly. Please have your local branch office review ALL your documents before having them state certified to ensure that documents will not have to be re-done later.
