Returning Home

• After returning home, please contact your Social Worker and ask about any procedures for social security, citizenship, birth certificate, applying for the adoption tax credit, re-adoption and any other necessary steps.

• Children’s Hope will complete the registration procedure with the Russian Consulate in the U.S. for you.

• Post Adoption beings: According to the Russian law, there are four post adoption reports required of families completing adoptions. Russia requires 4 formal post adoption reports at the 6 months, 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months time frame after the date when the court decree comes into legal force.
