Fees are paid as follows: Upon submission of application ($100), upon submission of Adoption Agreement ($700), upon submission of Dossier ($5175 program fee), Translation fee ($750 See In-Country fee). The remaining balance is for the trip and expenses incurred in Colombia (approx. $10,000), with a portion ($960) paid prior to traveling to Colombia. The $500 refundable refinalization fee is due at assignment.

Other costs will include:

Home Study and 4 post-placement reports, fee determined by the home study agency you choose.

INS fees of $670.00 + $80/ea fingerprint fee per adult.

Documentation fees vary from state to state. It’s been our experience the cost will be approximately $300 for documents, notarizing and Apostilling.

Other costs: shopping, telephone expenses, and tips.

For each additional sibling, add approximately $1,500 to the total cost – this covers an additional airfare home, Colombian passport, US visa, passport & visa photos, etc.
