California Director

Pete and Kristin Castiglione began their relationship with Children’s Hope International in 1995 with preparations for their first of four adoptions. Since that time, they have worked with the organization through assistance to CHI in Phoenix and coordination of the Urumqi Children’s Welfare Home Sponsorship and Rainbow Programs. Their love of children and desire to help others brought them to the next level with Children’s Hope International – a regional office dedicated to families in California with adoption needs. The California Family Support Office opened in December 2000 with Pete as director and Kristin managing the office. Pete and Kristin bring their knowledge and experience in the areas of adoption, parenting adopted children, and customer service to CHI / California. They eagerly await the opportunity to work closely with anyone in California wanting to adopt internationally.

Laura Liu
Outreach Coordinator, Northern California (North of San Luis Obispo)

Laura and her husband Jon are the proud parents of two adopted children - Ethan and Emi, both from China. Her son and daughter were adopted in 2002 and 2004 respectively. Laura's enthusiasm and passion in sharing her experiences in international adoption have brought her to working as an Outreach Coordinator for the San Francisco Bay area. She is excited to embark on yet another wonderful journey into international adoption, this time to assist individuals become parents.
