The fee for an apostille or authentication is $5.00 per document. A check can be made payable to the Kentucky State Treasurer.
The County Clerk must certify the notary public's signature before the document can be apostilled or authenticated

One can send documents to be apostilled or certified to the Office of the Secretary of State Apostilles Branch, 700 Capital Avenue, Suite 156, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. Phone number is (502) 564-7330 and the fax number is (502) 564-4075. They are open Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
