Colombia Adoption Services At Children's Hope International

Colombia adoption is one of the more easily accomplished of international adoptions. Children's Hope International, an agency accredited by The Hague, works in tandem with the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare to place Colombian orphans. In 2008, 75 such children were placed in good homes, many of them sibling groups. If you'd like to adopt a child or children from this South American country, the friendly and knowledgeable staff here at Children's Hope International can help.

Services Provided for Colombia Adoption

The first step in a Colombia adoption is preparing an extensive dossier, which will include a home study, financial reports, citizenship, birth and marriage certificates, financial and medical reports, letters of recommendation and more. We provide a checklist of all the documents required, and will help you put it all together. Then we'll have it translated and submit it to the Colombia adoption authorities.

When a suitable Colombian orphan becomes available, we'll send you a photo and written report. If you accept this child, you'll travel to Colombia, where our staff will meet you at the airport, having made all arrangements for the court proceedings, accommodations and any travel within Colombia. Once you adopt a child and return home, our services continue. Our social work staff will provide post-placement services, write a post-placement report, have it translated and submit it to Bogota. It is our goal to make the process of international adoption as easy as possible for prospective parents, and to do all in our power to improve the lot of these children.
