Title:
MANAGER OF WEB DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT
Location:
Children's Hope International Adoption and Development Aid agency

We are seeking someone who has worked as an IT developer and
has extensive experience with database design, setup and administration, as
well as PHP development with well-structured, scalable and maintainable
code.
Responsibilities:
-
Develop and update
multilingual web infrastructure for adoption and humanitarian aid
websites
-
Write development
documentation
-
Create functional and
efficient UI's and portal environments
-
Integrate projects
developed by outside contractors
-
Integrate 3rd party
software for web analytics, ad serving, and payment interfaces
-
Administer current CMS
-
Provide assistance with
day-to-day IT operations and support
Required
skill set:
-
5+ years strong OO
application design experience. PHP5, CSS
-
Deep understanding of
relevant W3C standards and best practices
-
Knowledge of CMS (Typo3,
Bitrix)
-
Ability to architect
end-to-end web solution in a high-availability environment
-
Extensive RDBMS knowledge
– MySQL (design and administration)
-
Experience working with
replication in MySQL
-
Complex SQL query
authoring and optimization
-
Understanding of version
control systems (CVS, SVN)
-
Extensive knowledge and
experience running Apache web server on Linux platforms
-
Strong Linux system
administration skills
-
Agile, test-driven
development
Preferred
skill set:
-
Ability to administer
Windows 2003 domain environment and MS Exchange 2003.

Ability to troubleshoot
MS Windows XP, MS Office and other basic desktop applications
-
Knowledge of MS SQL
Server, QuickBooks and Salesforce.
Qualifications:
PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS
Education:
BS in Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
degree
