Twenty-Seven Families Leave to Become
Parents to One Special Child
Nine families are leaving this
week to complete their Chinese adoptions, and will be in
China for Mother's Day. On May 29, 18 more families will
travel before China settles into Olympic mode.
Congratulations to all these families and soon to be
mothers!
The China Multiple Agency
Waiting Children web site has been very active since our
Children's Hope inception into the new electronic program in
January. This month we have been able to submit letters of
intent for several families.

"Taylor is the absolute perfect
child for me, and has fulfilled my dreams of being a mom in
more ways than I could ever have imagined when I started her
adoption process. I love that child more that I thought it
was possible to love another human being." This doting
mother, Carol Jordan, adopted now 3-year-old Taylor from
China in January 2006. Happy Mother's Day, Carol!

We'll miss you!

Tollefson
Children's Hope Yahoo Moderator
–
Super Volunteer
Ann has always had family first
in mind – helping you create your own family – and being a
wonder mom in her own.
She has been involved with
Children's Hope since 1996 when she began volunteering and,
in 2000, Children's Hope families forged a keen relationship
with her as she moderated all of our Yahoo groups, answering
questions and concerns around the clock. After serving as
Operation Manager in 2005, Ann took on the integral role of
China Program Director and the additional responsibility of
Adoption Services Director.
Following her best suit, Ann is
putting family first again, and will be returning to her
lighter "super volunteer" role. You'll see her as moderator
in our 100+ yahoo support groups. We love you, Ann!

Stepping Up!
Tina
Qualls
China
Program Director
Tina, a two-time adoptive mother
from China and an integral spoke in the Children's Hope
wheel for over ten years, will be directing the China
program. While waiting to adopt her first, Tori, from China,
Tina became a lifeline to families during their own
adoptions, as a volunteer in August 1996. She became a
permanent employee in September 1997 as Children's Hope
accountant, having 20 years of experience in the field. In
2000, she joined the China team, coordinating and promoting
the adoption of older children and children with special
needs, assisting families in preparing their paperwork,
preparing referrals, answering inquiries and assisting with
travel preparations. In 2002, Larry and Tina adopted Eli
from the China waiting children's program. Tina has been in
your shoes as an adoptive parent, and literally the shoes of
almost every role at Children's Hope International. Welcome,
Tina! |
