Our Accreditations

RUSSIA PROGRAM UPDATES

Russia was on
holiday for a good portion of this past month, but as most
officials have returned we hope to hear news of accreditation
soon! Four families are traveling on their first trip this month
with ten court dates also scheduled. Several sibling groups are
available in Vladivostok for interested and capable families to
review. From Irina, our representative: “I’ll be very happy if
we can help them. The Russian families rarely adopt two siblings
and three siblings have no chances at all.”
At this point the
wait time, from Dossier to completion is averaging 10.3 months.
FUN STATISTICS FOR 2006
Even with the
reaccreditation delays in Russia, Children’s Hope had 201
adoptions from Russia last year with 174 families in 2006.
Twenty-three of those families represent single parent
households. Twenty children were under twelve months of age,
with our youngest child placed being nine and half months old
and our oldest child placed being fifteen and a half years old.
Fifty-eight percent were boys; forty-two percent, girls.
